PLC Marine Group Acquires OTA — Odesa Teca Artesanos
The April 2026 acquisition retains the entire OTA team and its existing leadership, with plans for future expansion
MÉRIDA, MEXICO — April 2026 — PLC Marine Group has acquired OTA (Odesa Teca Artesanos), Mexico’s largest teak decking company. The acquisition brings the marine teak and custom decking business into the group and lays the groundwork for its future expansion.
All OTA employees have been retained as part of the acquisition. The existing leadership team remains exactly the same and continues to lead the business. This continuity preserves the experience, craftsmanship and relationships that OTA’s employees and management have built over time.
PLC Marine Group plans to expand OTA’s business in the future, building on its existing operations and the knowledge of its team. The aim is to support OTA’s development and create opportunities to bring its work to more customers and projects in Mexico.
OTA will make extensive use of PLC Marine Group’s network of customers, commercial partners and marine industry contacts. Access to this wider network will help the company develop new relationships and reach potential projects through the group’s established presence in the market.
OTA will also benefit from synergies with PLC Marine Group, including shared resources, collaboration between teams and complementary capabilities across the group. These connections will support the planned expansion while OTA continues under its existing leadership with its full team in place.
