DJI ownership and technology
Waydoo is owned in part by DJI and uses DJI technology in its height sensors, motor control and GPS systems, bringing advanced control technology to the water.
For riders, this technology supports a more intuitive experience, particularly when learning to maintain a consistent flying height.
Smart Flight Assistance: how it works
Waydoo’s Smart Flight Assistance helps riders maintain a selected height above the water by automatically adjusting motor output. It reduces the need for constant throttle corrections while the rider remains responsible for balance and direction.
A sensor measures the distance to the water
A height sensor beneath the front of the board measures the distance between the board and the water’s surface. This provides feedback about how high the board is flying.
The rider selects a flight-height range
Through the remote’s Flight Setting menu, riders can enable assistance and select Low, Medium or High. These settings represent the desired flying-height range.
The system adjusts motor output
The system uses height feedback to adjust the throttle. Changes in propulsion affect speed and foil lift, helping the board remain within the selected height range.
Adjustments continue as you ride
The system continually measures and responds:
Measure flying height → compare with the selected range → adjust motor output → repeat.
GPS provides position and speed information, while the height sensor measures the board’s distance above the water. The rider continues to steer, shift weight and control balance.
Smart Flight Assistance is available on the EVO Pro Plus, Max Plus and Master Plus. It can be enabled when wanted, allowing riders to choose between assisted and conventional operation. Explore the Flyer EVO system.

A platform that grows with your riding
Waydoo’s EVO platform lets riders adapt their setup as their confidence and preferences develop.
Start with a larger board and a stable wing, then move to a different compatible board, mast or wing as your riding progresses. Choose a larger battery for longer sessions or change the propulsion configuration to suit your needs.
This flexibility allows you to upgrade individual components without replacing the complete setup.
An even greater price advantage in Mexico
The battery and spare-parts tables above compare U.S. market prices. In Mexico, savings on selected Waydoo spare parts can reach 50–60% or more.
Waydoo benefits from direct imports and national distribution through PLC Marine, while Fliteboard operates through local dealers without a national distributor.
